Tanah Aina Fareena. Lentang, PahangCAFE & RESTAURANT
The journey to Tanah Aina Fareena Cafe-Restaurant is not far — just 40 minutes to the mountain estate from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. From the car park and surrounding edible plant garden you start walking along a covered bridge that winds along a river with crystal clear water. You enter into a
rainforest-blanketed valley that widens until suddenly you see a beautiful open air structure and furnishings built from local timber with a multitude of rich wood tones.
The cafe serves: romantic couples for intimate meals; families, with parents enjoying their meals and time together at table while their children play in a safe place, in view just a few meters away in the clean, clear water of the river; as well as business retreats; weddings, and; other events hosting up to several hundred people. Tables are spread at different levels throughout the cafe, some right on the water, some a little above. There is a glass- walled upstairs room in which you feel that you are still right in the rainforest; it holds more than 20 people. It is very comfortably furnished, quiet, private, and air conditioned (if you like), so that you can really conduct the business, do team building, or hold whatever personal or company function you desire. The international staff are friendly, attentive to your every need, and dedicated to serving you to provide a truly unique rendezvous and dining experience in the rainforest.
The menu is large, thoughtfully and tastefully conceived by the Chef de Cuisine. There is a bounty of Malaysian, Thai, Western dishes, and fresh seafood varieties, each cooked in one of several ways, vegetable sides and vegetarian entrees, international chicken, lamb and beef dishes, several savory rice dishes, noodles, soups, curries, and authentic Italian plates including delicious pizzas and pastas. The fare also includes a full variety of Malaysian and Western breakfast offerings available anytime, as well as appetizers, snacks, sandwiches, and teas, along with a delightful choice of local and international desserts including fresh baked daily cakes, signature cookies, churros, Durian and sweet potato treats, banana fritters, and assorted homemade ice creams! You can choose from many freshly made- to-order beverages: fruit juices, smoothies, milk shakes, a variety of hot and iced coffees and teas, and much more! For lunch you might sample the fresh pumpkin soup with bread warm from the oven, seafood in a coconut cream pineapple sauce served in a half pineapple, and just squeezed lime juice. Seasonal organically grown vegetables and fruits come mostly from our own garden to your table. These and other locally sourced, chemical free ingredients, like the fish organically farmed at another Tanah Aina estate, are prepared fresh to order by our in-house chef.
Some of the unique features of Tanah Aina Fareena Cafe and Restaurant include a choice of outdoor activities. If you don’t feel like being so active you can just sit and relax on various comfortable furnishings around the grounds, or with your feet in the river, or you can enjoy your meal while watching your children playing and splashing and having fun close by in the river. If you’re feeling like being more active you can hike a short way up the valley along a gradually climbing, scenic trail above the cafe-restaurant into the surrounding rainforest. The distances that you walk along the river and up valley are short. Almost everyone, from young children to older adults can do it with, at most, just a small challenge. There are a few places where you have to watch where you put your feet. In some places there are ropes to hold on to; you may not need them but they’re there if you like, to feel secure.
Not only its a restaurant but you have a choice of going hiking for RM110 per person:

As you begin walking from Tanah Aina Fareena up the valley it begins to get wider as you gradually head uphill. The thing you first start to notice is how clean and pure the air is. Your lungs fill, you breath easily. A little way up the path you start to hear the birds and insects singing, see butterflies flit by, hear the river below, the wind through the trees gently rustling the leaves. You start to smell the clean, rich scents of the earth, of the diverse rainforest flowers and other plants as you walk by. You are immersed completely in the natural rainforest, bathed by the air and sounds or the water around you. It is a very purifying, refreshing, restful, healthy experience. At the top there is a beautiful waterfall cascading down over the rocks, below which you can walk, wade, or splash in a shallow, sand- smooth rock lined pool under the rainforest canopy. When you walk back downhill you can take a short side trail with rope handrail to the lower falls, crashing down through a narrow rocky gorge. This is one of the most refreshing, invigorating showers you could ever imagine. It is almost like being reborn, an absolutely restorative experience! Walking down the valley back toward Tanah Aina Fareena Cafe-Restaurant you have a feeling of stepping very lightly, completely rested, relaxed, and refreshed. By the time you arrive back at the cafe you may feel like you have slept for days — completely rested, restored, healthy, and alert, yet calm.
